Where Children Grow Naturally
OUR STORY
New Horizons FCC was founded by Amanda McCaslin after struggling to find appropriate care for her child with unique sensory needs. New Horizons allows children to have access to specialized sensory equipment to help them regulate. We also find that being in a smaller home environment works well for children who are easily overwhelmed.
Our program is play based and child lead. It is a deeply held belief at New Horizons that children are natural learners and that their individual arch should be respected. This is why we maintain a low 4:1 ratio during our daytime programs.
The first several weeks of care is spent teaching children how to safely utilize equipment and toys. Because we are child lead it is important that they have access to the sensory tables, art supplies, dramatic play and gross motor spaces at all times.
When it comes to learning our primary focus is emotional social skills. We proudly utilize the tenets of Conscious Discipline to help children learn to recognize their emotions and regulate them in safe ways.
With over 2 decades experience in formal early childhood or early intervention setting we strive to bring the best care possible to every family we serve. We never stop learning and growing to ensure your child is receiving the highest quality of care.
